Privacy policy

In short

• We don't collect personal data through the app. There's no account, no analytics and no advertising.
• What you write and record is stored on your iPhone.
• Text is sent only to the AI provider you set up, only when you ask for coaching, and after Safe Rewrite.
• Audio never leaves your iPhone.

What stays on your iPhone

Your messages and rewrites, meeting preparations, rehearsal transcripts and measurements, reflections, saved patterns, phrase library and settings are stored in the app's private storage on your iPhone, protected by iOS data protection. They're included in your device backups like other app data, and they're deleted when you delete the app.

Your progress and communication profile are calculated on your iPhone from content-free records: counts, issue types and scores, never message text, names or contacts.

If you add an API key, it's stored in your iPhone's Keychain, on this device only. It's not synced to iCloud and is sent only to the endpoint you configured.

What is sent, and to whom

Your AI provider. When you ask for coaching (for example to improve a message, review what you said or prepare a meeting), the app sends the text of that request and the settings you chose (audience, goal, tone, length and language) directly from your iPhone to the AI service you configured, such as OpenAI or Mistral, using your own key. That provider processes the text under its own terms and privacy policy, through your account. It doesn't go through us and we never see it.

Safe Rewrite is on by default. Before anything is sent, it replaces people, companies, projects, applications, ticket numbers, email addresses, phone numbers, links and, if you choose, amounts with placeholders such as [Vendor], then puts the real names back on your iPhone. In strict mode, you see exactly what will be sent, and to which server, and you approve each request.

Without an API key, LeadPhrase works offline and sends nothing.

Speech recognition. When you rehearse or dictate, speech is transcribed on your iPhone whenever your device supports it for the language. If it doesn't, and only if you allow it in the app's settings, Apple's speech recognition service processes the audio under Apple's privacy policy. LeadPhrase never saves or sends recordings.

Nothing else. The app contains no analytics, advertising, tracking or third-party SDKs. If you choose to share analytics with app developers in your iPhone's settings, Apple may share anonymous crash reports and usage statistics with us. They contain none of your content.

Widgets, Lock Screen and Siri

The meeting cards you activate are shared with the LeadPhrase widget and Live Activity through storage on your iPhone, and appear on your Home Screen or Lock Screen. Anyone who can see your Lock Screen can read them. End the Live Activity or remove the widget to hide them.

LeadPhrase shortcuts for Siri and the Shortcuts app open screens in the app. Apple handles voice requests to Siri under its own privacy policy.

Your choices

• Turn Safe Rewrite and strict mode on or off, and manage the list of terms that are always hidden.
• Require on-device speech recognition.
• Remove your API key at any time.
• Export your phrase library.
• Delete everything from Profile › Privacy & data › Delete all data, or by deleting the app.

Because we don't hold your data, there's nothing for us to access, correct or delete on our side: you control it on your iPhone.

This website

leadphrase.com is a static website hosted on Cloudflare Pages. It uses no cookies, no analytics and no third-party content, and its fonts are served from this site. Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site, under the Cloudflare privacy policy. If you close the language suggestion, that choice is kept in your browser and never sent to us.

If you contact us

If you email us, we receive your email address and message. We use them only to reply, and delete them once they're no longer needed. You can ask us to delete them at any time. If you're in the European Union, you can also contact your data protection authority (in France, the CNIL).

Children

LeadPhrase is designed for professionals and isn't directed at children.

If this policy changes, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
